E-AS: When Trying To Login, Users Get Errors "An error has occurred" And "bea.jolt.ServiceException: TPENOENT - no entry found". In AppServer log: "CMgrCntrlImp::CreateCacheDir error locking cache directory: system errno = 32-Broken pipe" (Doc ID 2914755.1)

When attempting to login, users are getting the following errors in the browser:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Attempt to login to the system.
2. Error is shown in browser.

When the issue happens, manually shut down of the domain reports failure. The application server won't shutdown properly. Kill IPCS resources is needed to reboot the domain.
