Symptoms

Having implemented Elastic Search, and successfully deployed and generated Index Files for the Search Index Definitions EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB (Performance & Operations), and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB (Travel Policy Violations), when accessing them via the Kibana Discover page, no Fields are available for selection, the page is blank, and no results are displayed. Search Index Definition EP_EX_SRCH_EMP_EXCP_KIB (My Proxy Expense Activity) is working just fine.

While running the Schedule Search Indexes process (PTSF_GENFEED AE Program) in Full Index, the Process Monitor confirms that several documents were properly indexed. However, when testing the Elasticsearch Interact feature, the results are not displaying anything for Search Index Definitions EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB (Performance & Operations), and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB (Travel Policy Violations).

REPLICATION STEPS:

To gather more information concerning this scenario and its related problem, refer to the available Replication Steps PDF Document here linked containing the complete configuration and the replication steps necessary to reproduce the issue.

Kibana Discover site cannot be used for Search Indexes EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB, and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB.

Once the Search Index EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB, and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB have confirmed their Pattern configuration, the Discover page should display all the Fields needed to perform testing. At the same time, if the Elasticsearch Interact feature tool is used on both Search categories, the proper results should get displayed from the documents successfully indexed.
