Symptoms
Having implemented Elastic Search, and successfully deployed and generated Index Files for the Search Index Definitions EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB (Performance & Operations), and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB (Travel Policy Violations), when accessing them via the Kibana Discover page, no Fields are available for selection, the page is blank, and no results are displayed. Search Index Definition EP_EX_SRCH_EMP_EXCP_KIB (My Proxy Expense Activity) is working just fine.
While running the Schedule Search Indexes process (PTSF_GENFEED AE Program) in Full Index, the Process Monitor confirms that several documents were properly indexed. However, when testing the Elasticsearch Interact feature, the results are not displaying anything for Search Index Definitions EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB (Performance & Operations), and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB (Travel Policy Violations).
REPLICATION STEPS:
1.- Log into the FSCM Online Application as User ID VP1

10.- Navigate to: Travel and Expenses > Manage Expenses Security > Authorize Expense Users
11.- Open User ID VP1, and ensure it has a long list of Employee IDs set up as 'Edit & Submit' (Or View at least)
12.- Navigate to: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Install > Installation Options > Expenses
13.- Ensure that in the section named 'Kibana Reporting Preferences', the fields of Reporting Currency and Rate Type have been populated

19.- Launch existing Run Control ID named EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB_FULL (Search Index EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB in FULL mode)
20.- Navigate to: PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > Process Monitor
21.- Identify the Process Instance from PTSF_GENFEED AE Program, and confirm that at the Message Log level it states XX amount of documents have been indexed successfully
22.- Navigate to: PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Define Search Indexes
23.- Click on the 'Elasticsearch Interact' link available

46.- Click on the Performance & Operations Tile
47.- On the Performance and Operations Dashboard, click on the 'Open in Kibana' link (top left hand corner of the page)
48.- A new window is opened, in Kibana site, proceed to select the DISCOVER page

50.- ISSUE #5: Select the EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB Search Index Pattern, and confirm that no Fields are displayed, and the message is displayed of 'No results match your search criteria'
To gather more information concerning this scenario and its related problem, refer to the available Replication Steps PDF Document here linked containing the complete configuration and the replication steps necessary to reproduce the issue.
Kibana Discover site cannot be used for Search Indexes EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB, and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB.
Once the Search Index EP_EX_SRCH_PERF_OPR_KIB, and EP_EX_SRCH_RISK_EXCP_KIB have confirmed their Pattern configuration, the Discover page should display all the Fields needed to perform testing. At the same time, if the Elasticsearch Interact feature tool is used on both Search categories, the proper results should get displayed from the documents successfully indexed.
