Symptoms

Unable to update the Expiration Date while expiring a lease after creating and activating a Decrease in Scope Amendment


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a new lease with 2 or more Assets
Navigation: Navigation: Lease Administration > Payables Leases > Create New Payables Lease
2. Generate the Straightline Schedule(1), Calculate the Depreciation(2), Create the Accounting Entries(3), and Run the Depreciation Close Process(4)
Navigation 1: Lease Administration > Integrations > Generate SL Schedule
Navigation 2: Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation
Navigation 3: Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Create Accounting Entries
Navigation 4: Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Close Depreciation
3. Create a Decrease in Scope Amendment and Expire one of the Assets
Navigation: Navigation: Lease Administration > Payables Leases > Create New Payables Lease | Manage Amendments
4. Generate the Straightline Schedule, Calculate the Depreciation, Create the Accounting Entries, and Run the Depreciation Close Process
5. Try to Expire the Lease and choose to Expire the Underlying Assets
Navigation: Navigation: Lease Administration > Payables Leases > Create New Payables Lease | Expire Lease
6. Notice that the Expiration Date is grayed out
