Symptoms

Receiving below errors while retiring Assets with Closed / Inactive Projects Using Disposal Worksheet if the Chartfield Edit Option is set to Reject w/ edit error


Error found in the AMIF1000 AE Message Log:



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


Prerequisites:
Set the "Chartfield Edit Option" to "Reject w/ edit error" on the Asset Management Definition page, Business Unit/Book Definition Tab
Navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related . Asset Management > Asset Management Definition | Business Unit/Book Definition

1. Create a New Asset and fill in the Project Chartfield with an Active Project ID
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Owned Assets > Express Add
2. Calculate the Depreciation
Navigation: Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation
3. Update the Project Status to C (Closed) by adding a new Effective Date Transaction
Navigation: Project Costing > Project Definitions > Update Project Status
4. Submit the Asset for Disposal using Disposal Worksheet
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Asset Disposal > Disposal Worksheet
5. Load the Disposal Intfc ID using the AMIF1000 Transaction Loader
Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information . Interface Transactions > Load into AM
6. Review the AMIF1000 AE Message Log and the Review Interface Transactions Page
Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Review Interface Transactions
