Goal
The Census Date as originally defined and or shown on Set Up SACR > Product Related > Financial Aid Term > Setup Financial Aid Term > FA Term Setup may occasionally be changed for certain reasons. In some cases, the original date may just be found to have been incorrect, as described in Note 2846189.1. In another reported scenario, the Academic Census Dates for all careers for a term were updated to a LATER date after the institution had to close unexpectedly for a few days. The specific example was updating the census dates from 2/1/2023 to 2/6/2023, with the change itself happening on 2/2/2023 (after the original date had passed).
In these instances, when reviewing the Census Date link page on the Financial Aid term component, some students are observed to have the "Census Date Used" field still set to the original Census Date and not updated to match the "Financial Aid Census Date" or "Academic Census Date", which reflect the changes made to the setup.
Is it necessary in these cases to update the "Census Date Used" to match and other dates, and if so, what is the correct procedure to use to ensure that the records rebuild with the new dates?
