ISIR File Load (FAPSAR00) Search Match Using EMailAddressRule Results in Load Status 'Suspended' on Suspense Management With Load Information Link Indicating 'Student ID not Found' Even Though the Email Addresses Match (Doc ID 2927170.1)

Symptoms

After running the ISIR File Load FAPSAR00 Cobol, some records that are expected to load instead show on Suspense Management with a Load Status of 'Suspended' and the Suspend Reason 'Student ID not Found'.

The unexpected suspended results are determined to be due to the failure of the EMailAddressRule, but as the e-mail addresses actually do match, the records should have loaded. Also, if the search parameter is tested directly from the Search Match page, the student is found; therefore the ISIR Load should be able to obtain the same result.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. On Set Up SACR > System Administration > Utilities > Search/Match > Search/Match Rule, set up a rule that incorporates the Search Field 'EmailAddressRule' with Usage of 'Equals'.
  2. On Set Up SACR > System Administration > Utilities > Search/Match > Search/Match Parameters, set up a parameter that contains the rule from step 1.
  3. On Set Up SACR > Product Related > Financial Aid > File Management > ISIR Data Load Parameters > ISIR Inst SearchMatch, in the Search Parameter Field, use the parameter from step 2, and the radio button to 'Update' for One Match Found with the Match Rule using the Email Address.
  4. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > ISIR Import > Process ISIRs > ISIR File Load and run the process.
  5. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > ISIR Import > 20nn-20nn Suspense Management > ISIR Suspense Management nn/nn for the Aid Year and a student who should have loaded based on the parameter and rule from step 3, note the Load Status of 'Suspended', and click the 'ISIR Load Information link to see the reason 'Student ID not Found'.
