Gender Field is not Hidden in SS_CC_DEMOG_DATA Component when Using Page And Field Configurator to Hide it (Doc ID 2927495.1)

Symptoms

When crating a Page and Field Configurator settings for SS_CC_DEMOG_DATA component, and selecting the 'Hide Field' for the Translate Short Name – XLATSHORTNAME. (Record PSXLATITEM) - Gender field,  then testing it at Campus Community > Student Services center (student) > Demographic Data , the Gender field is not hidden.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Enterprise components > Page and Field Configuration> Page and Field Configurator
  2. Search for the component SS_CC_DEMOG_DATA, if it does not display the component,  click add a new value and add the following values:
      Component name: SS_CC_DEMOG_DATA
      Market: Global
      Configuration Type: Standard
  3. Click 'Select Fields' button
  4. Search and select the Translate Short Name – XLATSHORTNAME (Record PSXLATITEM) field
  5. On the Configure Field Properties, for the XLATSHORTNAME field selected, select the ‘Hide Field’ checkbox
  6. Go to ‘Map to Portal Registry’ tab
  7. Select the all portal registry displayed
  8. Click 'Apply Configuration' button
  9. Navigate to Campus Community > Student Services center (student)
  10. Search a student
  11. On ‘Personal Information’ section, Click on “Demographic Data’
  12. Gender field not hidden
