Denied Fluid Position Management Changes Are Included When Adding a New Row. (Doc ID 2927529.1)

Symptoms

When a Fluid Position update is in a Denied workflow status and a new row is added or the position is cloned, the data from the Denied row is pulled into the new row being updated. This creates an opportunity for unauthorized changes to go through on a different position update that were not approved. 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log in as an Administrator and select a Position. Navigation: Workforce Administrator > Position Management > Manage Position.
  2. Add a new effective dated row and submit a change.
  3. Log in as an approver and from the Worklist, select to Deny the approval item.  
  4. Log in as an Administrator and select this same Position.  Navigation: Workforce Administrator > Position Management > Manage Position.
  5. Add a new change to the same position to see the changes from the prior denied change is used.
