(Doc ID 2927583.1)

Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The 'Calc EFC' Button on Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records works as expected to calculate the EFC; however, in conjunction with many or most executions of the code in the Federal Methodology Need Analysis Calculator (FM NAC), the following message appears repeatedly in the Application Server log file:
In the cases reported, the frequency and consistency varies. Some schools have reported that the message seems to appear each time the calculation is invoked, while others have reported it happens only a portion of the time.
While there is no impact on the functionality nor any noticeable disruption in service to the end user, the messages take up space on the app server and also cause the app server to briefly "crash" and recycle and produce error reports for the system administrator to review.
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
- Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct 2023-2024 ISIR records.
- Click 'Calc EFC' button.
- Review the PSAPPSRV.log file and note the message corresponding to when the calculation was invoked.
Changes
The issue is seen after applying the 2023-2024 AID YEAR UPDATES FOR ISIR - either from the original (PRP) Patch 33234548, or from the CS 9.2 PUM Image 27 starting with Image 27.
