Import COD Response (CODIN) Runs to 'No Success' With Errors in FAPCODIN Step and Log File: ' Invalid action request', 'FAPPLINB - SQL ERROR IN SECTION: S-AWARDS (SELECT)' (Doc ID 2932095.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the Common Origination and Disbursement Inbound (CODIN) process, it runs to no success due to an error in the FAPCODIN cobol step. The cobol log file shows the following error:

 The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > COD Full Participant > Import COD Response Data > Common Origination and Disbursement Inbound and run the process.
  2. Click link to Process Monitor and note when the process ends in 'No Success' status.
  3. Click into the CODIN link to access the two separate steps and note that FAPCODIN ended in Error status. 
  4. Click the link for the FAPCODIN step, then the link that says 'View Log/Trace', then the link to the log file in the file list to see the detailed error message.

Changes

The issue is seen after upgrading Tools. In one example reported, Tools had been upgraded from 8.58 to 8.59.
