ECM: Error 'The value you tried to add already exists' in External Transaction Page When Trying to Recreate a 'VOI' External Transaction (Doc ID 2933093.1)

Symptoms

After Unreconciling an External Transaction for which Accounting entries got created through Automated Accounting, the reconcile status is set to 'VOI' and the system is not allowing to re-create the external transaction with the exact same details: Bank ID, Bank Acct No, Tran Date and Tran Ref id values.

Steps:

    1. Create an external transaction.
(Navigation: Main Menu > Banking > Reconcile Statements > External Transactions)

    2. Enter a bank statement with a matching bank statement line.
(Navigation: Main Menu > Banking > Bank Statements > Enter Bank Statements)

    3. Reconcile them through Semi-Manual Reconciliation Process
(Navigation: Main Menu > Banking > Reconcile Statements > Semi-Manual Reconciliation)

    4. Run Automated Accounting to generate accounting lines for the external transaction:
(Navigation: Main Menu > Cash Management > Treasury Accounting > Automated Accounting)

- Accounting entries were getting created.

    5. Unreconcile the transaction from Semi-manual Reconciliation page:
(Navigation: Main Menu > Banking > Reconcile Statements > Semi-Manual Reconciliation)

- The transaction got unreconciled.

- Once Un-reconciling the External Transactions for which the Accounting Entry got created through Automated Accounting, Reconcile Status for this item are VOI.

    6. Try adding a new external transaction with the exact same details (Transaction Date and Reference). Below warning is triggered:
(Navigation: Main Menu > Banking > Reconcile Statements > External Transactions)
