Budget Item Setup Page Times Out After Applying CS 9.2 PUM 28 Due to RowInit PeopleCode Changes (Doc ID 2934126.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to retrieve a record on the budget items setup component, the page longer than expected to open - at least many extra seconds up to minutes, depending on the budget category chosen in the search and how many budget items are associated to the category. In the worst case scenario, the page never opens if it is retrieving a large enough number of items. 

The page is expected to open almost immediately, which was always the observed behavior prior to applying the new budget fixes indicated in the Changes section of this document.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Set Up SACR > Product Related > Financial Aid > Budgets > Budget Items > Create Budget Items.
  2. Enter the search parameters, including the budget category with the most number of associated items.
  3. Click 'search' and note the elapsed time before the page opens, if it does.




Changes

The issue occurs after applying the fixes for Bug 33146531 and/or Bug 33496191 delivered in the CS 9.2 PUM Image, starting with Image 9.2.28.
