E-ES: Getting Error "You are not authorized for this page" After Clicking on Any Search Result Link from Global Search (Doc ID 2936120.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 23, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.58 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Clicking on any Search Result item takes user to incorrect url.
E.g.: https://<hostname>/psc/<sitename>/EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/ENTER_VOUCHER_INFORMATION.VCHR_APPROVE.GBL.

Note the extra 'EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/'

The issue was reproducible in the customer site with the following steps:

1. From Homepage, click on the search icon ('magnifying glass' icon on the top right.
2. Search in 'Menu' for 'approval'.
3. The 'View Search Results' page open.
4. Click on 'Approve Voucher' link, from Search Results.
5. As a result of clicking on that link, the system responds with error "You are not authorized for this page".

URL in the browser, at that point, is:
https://<hostname>/psc/<sitename>/EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/ENTER_VOUCHER_INFORMATION.VCHR_APPROVE.GBL

It should have directed to:
https://<hostname>/psc/<sitename>/EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/ENTER_VOUCHER_INFORMATION.VCHR_APPROVE.GBL
