Budgets Process Equations Ends in Error with '153 Subscript out of range (in FAPBUDPE.cbl, line 620)' or 'MAX CATG ENTRIES (0000005000) EXCEEDED' in FAPBDGTE Cobol Log File

Symptoms
When running the Process Equations FAPBDGTE Cobol, the process ends in error status with one of two messages in the cobol log file:
Object Code error : file '<file path will be listed here>FAPBUDPE.gnt'
error code: 153, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
153 Subscript out of range (in FAPBUDPE.cbl, line 620)
error code: 153, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
153 Subscript out of range (in FAPBUDPE.cbl, line 620)
or
ERROR - CATG TABLE OVERFLOW
MAX CATG ENTRIES (0000005000) EXCEEDED
MAX CATG ENTRIES (0000005000) EXCEEDED
The process works if testing a student on-line on the Create Student Budget component.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Navigate to FA Budgets – Assign Budgets – Process Equation and run the process.
- In process monitor, note when process ends in error.
- Review Process Monitor > Details > View Log/Trace and the .log file in the file list to see the error detail.
