Changes from COD Impacted Prior Year Versions of the DSDF File Layout, but the Changes to the New File Layout Were Not Made to Prior Year Data Loads, Causing DSDF Message Classes Files to Load Incorrectly. (Doc ID 2943546.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For the 2023-2024 Aid Year, COD made changes to the DLSAS or DSDF Message Class.  These changes from COD impact all years to use the same file format.  Oracle delivered the changes to the 2023-2024 DLSAS process based on the record layout changes from COD, but did not make the necessary changes for the prior year DSDF COD Inbound processes to use the same file format.   Thus, when loading a DSDF for 2023 or earlier years,  the file loads without error but the data is loading incorrectly to certain fields.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Financial Aid --> File Management --> Import Federal Data Files
2. Use an existing run control ID or create a new one to enter the page.
3. Update the run control parameters with the Inbound File location/name and ISIR TG Number.
4. Run the process and review the results by navigating to Financial Aid --> Loans --> DL School Account Summary --> DLSAS Import 2022-2023
5. Using the file layout, when comparing the technical reference with the data, certain fields have data that is not valid/incorrect.

Changes

COD changes for the 2023-2024 Aid Year were delivered in PRP Patch 34669862 - 2023-2024 AID YEAR COD UPDATE: COMMON OBJECTS
