(Doc ID 2943996.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When attempting to calculate the FM EFC - via INAS for Aid Years 2023 and earlier, or the FM Java Need Analysis Calculator for Aid Year 2024 - an error occurs, with the following being the key parts of the error message displayed:
The error will display on the Correct 20nn-20nn ISIR records component after clicking the 'INAS' or 'Calc EFC' buttons for any student and aid year. The value displayed after 'AidYear' will depend on which aid year is calculated.
The same or similar error will also occur when running the equivalent batch process, and the error message will display in the log file for the process. If the error occurs as part of the ISIR Load (FAPSAR00), with the 'Call INAS' box checked on in the setup, the FAPSAR00 process itself will end successfully, but a review of the log file and the section(s) where the EFC is calculated will show the error.
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
- Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct 20nn-20nn ISIR records for any available student and aid year.
- Click the INAS or Calc EFC button and observe the error displayed on the page.
Changes
The issue occurs after applying PRP 34825011 - UPDATE OF DEPENDENCY STATUS DISPLAYED WHEN NULL EFC IS RETURNED
