Account Summary On Student Center Page Shows Wrong Amount Owed

Why does the Amount Due displayed on the Student Center page sometimes not display the correct Amount Due from the Account Inquiry link?
When students log into their Student Center page it is not sometimes not showing the correct amount they owe under the Account Summary section. When an Administrator clicks on the Account Inquiry link the correct amount due is displayed on the Account Summary page. If the student goes back to the Student Center page the correct amount due is displayed in the Account Summary section.
