E-UPD: While Applying PeopleTools Patch, Job Failed at Step Create Views With Error "SELECT permission was denied on the object 'SYSOBJECTS', database '<Database>', schema 'dbo'" (Doc ID 2950501.1)

Symptoms

On : 8.58 version, Change Assistant

While doing PeopleTools patching in Microsoft SQL Server database, many change assistant job steps are completed but Creating Views and subsequent steps started failing with permission related issue.


ERROR in change assistant creating views step:

The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'SYSOBJECTS', database '<Database>', schema 'dbo'.

And error at Step - Checking for Missing AE Temp Table Instances:

(SQR 5528) ODBC SQL dbdesc: SQLNumResultCols error 229 in cursor 2:
  [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'PSRECDEFN', database '<Database>', schema 'dbo'.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Download new patch DPK and start PT patching using change assistant

2. More than 50 percent job is completed

3. Patching process fails at create views and subsequent steps
