On Basic Data Tab of Maintain Schedule of Classes, the 'Dynamic Date Calc Required' Box is not Automatically Checked After a Change is Made to Start/End Date for a Dynamic Dated (DYN) Session (Doc ID 2951618.1)

On the Maintain Schedule of Classes component and Basic Data tab - or any other component/tab that allows changes to a class section - if the start or end date is modified on a section defined as a dynamically dated session, the 'Dynamic Date Calc Required' box is not checked. As a result, the Generate Dynamic Class Dates batch process won't pick up the classes to process if the run control is set to only select classes with the box checked.

This behavior is contrary to the documentation in on-line help/Peoplebooks, which states the box should be automatically checked when a date change is made.

The documentation states the box should also be checked automatically when a change is made to the start or end meeting pattern, and that part is working correctly.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Maintain Schedule of Classes
  2. Choose a record where the session is defined as 'DYN' and the Dynamic Date Calc Required box is not checked.
  3. Change the start or end date and save.
  4. Note the Dynamic Date Calc Required box remains unchecked.
