E-MCF: When Retrieving an OAuth2 Access Token, the Error "AADSTS700016: Application with Identifier 'xxx' Was Not Found in the Directory 'xxx'" Pops Up on the Page (Doc ID 2952173.1)

Symptoms

When retrieving an OAuth2 access token on the "Retrieve OAuth2 Access Token" page, users receive the following error.

ERROR
-----------------------

AADSTS700016: Application with identifier 'xxx' was not found in the directory 'xxx'

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into PIA, and navigate to PeopleTools > Security > OAuth2 Administration > Retrieve OAuth2 Access Token.

2. Click on "Access Token".

3. Sign into Microsoft Azure.

4. Observe the above error.
