GPCHE Application Engine GPCH_AE_ELM Fails with Error "XML parser error ParseXmlString Fatal Error:" If an Address Contains an Ampersand ("&"). (Doc ID 2954611.1)

Symptoms

If an employee have an ampersand ("&") in the name of the street stored in the ADDRESS1 field, when run the GPCH_AE_ELM Application Engine, it fails because of this character not being properly escaped in the XML.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigation: Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Modify a Person - Contact Information tab
Make sure that the employee have an ampersand ("&") in the name of the street stored in the ADDRESS1 field.
2. Navigation: Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Authority Correspondence > XML based reporting CHE > Monthly XML CHE > Prepare Files
Run the GPCH_AE_ELM Application Engine.
