Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Fields TGTDBNAME & TGTOPRID in PSPROJECTDEFN table do not get updated when using Command Line Interface Application Designer.

This issue is true for both pside (Windows) and psidex (Linux) Command Line Interface.
The fields TGTDBNAME & TGTOPRID in PSPROJECTDEFN do not get updated when using -PJM to compare a project.
On the other hand, LASTUPDDTTM & LASTUPDOPRID get updated by both methods.

Whereas, all four fields get updated when performing a compare via the Graphical User Interface (GUI) version of Application Designer on Windows.

Steps to Replicate:

1. On Linux (psidex) or Windows (pside), open a command line window, and enter the following:

psidex (on Linux, or replace with pside on Windows) -CT ORACLE -CD PH1DEV -CO IPS -CP **PASSWORD** -CI PEOPLE -CW
**PASSWORD** -PJM TEST_PROJECT -TD PH1STG -TO IPS -TP **PASSWORD** -TI PEOPLE -TW **PASSWORD**

Note: Replace the database, oprid, and project name values with the ones valid in the environment, and fill in the correct passwords in all four places in the above command.

2. Then, view the project properties (File->Project Properties) in Application Designer.

3. Under Application Upgrade Target, observe that the Database and User field values remain unchanged (are the same as prior to the compare).
If the compare is run through the GUI version of Application Designer, all the field values mentioned above are updated.
