E-PUM: PUM Automation Updates Download Feature is not Sending Email Notifications and not Working (Doc ID 2954953.1)

Symptoms

Email notifications for PUM Automation Update feature is not working. SMTP settings have been configured in the application server and process scheduler configuration files respectively and primary email address has been set for the admin user, but still not getting any emails for download updates.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0


Sample replication
----------------------

1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Lifecycle Tools > Update Manager > Update Settings > Notifications
2. Choose the Distribution user to send the Alert Notification to, and enable the sliders as appropriate.
3. Click the Email Notification checkbox to enable.
4. In the SMTP Server Details section, populate the SMTP details accordingly.
5. Click the 'Test SMTP Connection' button.
6. In the Email Details section, using the sldiers, enable the conditions to send the email notification.
7. Save.
