E-WL: PIA WebLogic JVM Suddenly Disappeared From Memory -- Error 500--Internal Server Error (Doc ID 2954993.1)

Symptoms

We have 5 PIA web server domains running on Windows, each on its own separate VMWare. Trying to access PIA we found out that the Windows service is not running. All 5 PIA web server seem to have disappeared from memory all at once. This is what the user sees when they try to login to PIA:

 

 

 

 Looking at the logs located at:

<PS_CONFIG_HOME>\webserv\peoplesoft\servers\PIA\logs

We do not see any activity that could cause the JVM to disappear. In fact these servers are not heavily used at all. They are idle.
