PE: It Is Possible To Add Two AIR Mappings For The Same Plan With Same Effective Date
(Doc ID 2956498.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 03, 2023
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When mapping AIR structures to plans on the Academic Program Table, an error message appears if the same plan is added twice on the same effective dated row.
However, if a new row is added to Academic Program Table and mapping is carried over for a plan on the previous row, it is possible to add a second mapping for the same plan and save without the error message. In the example below, Group ID 20 already existed on the previous effective dated row and so is present on the new 01/08/23 row, Group ID 30 is then added to the 01/08/23 row and saved wit no message, resulting in two mappings for the same plan code.
This is likely to result in incorrect APTs being generated for students.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set Up SACR > Foundation Tables > Academic Structure > Academic Program Table
2. Select PSGBR and academic program BS
3. On first tab, add a new row
4. Go to Program Enrollment& Mapping tab
5. Add a new row
6. Under the group box Academic Item Registry Mapping, add a row with the same data as a previous row
7. Save. No error message.
