Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Prior period vacation cannot be automatically calculated

Additional Pay for Vacation Pay (Earning Codes VP4, VP5 & VP6) were created, which are based on the Special Accumulator VCA (e.g. VP4 = VCA x 4%, VP5=VCA x 5%, & so on).

VCA special accumulator is defined to sum more than 40 earnings including Regular Earning, Acting Pay, Sick Leave, Family Leave, Holiday, etc.

For current pay earnings, the system is able to determine the vacation pays accurately. However, when prior period adjustments are captured (e.g. late entry for new hire, leave in prior pay period captured, etc.), corresponding earnings cannot be automatically calculated by the system.
