Process Formulas Step of Batch Budget Assignment Runs to Success But 'No data in tablefield' Error Displays in FAPBDGTF Log File, Resulting in Budgets not Assigned (Doc ID 2957052.1)

Symptoms

When running the steps to assign budgets in batch, some students are found to not have a budget assigned as expected. In process monitor, all steps are shown completing in 'Success' status. However, when reviewing the cobol logs in more detail, the following error message is observed to display one or more times in the FAPBDGTF log file:

The result is that all students processed after the error message do not have a budget ultimately assigned. The equation displayed in the error message is linked in the 'Use Equation' Field to assign one or more item types in Set Up SACR > Product Related > Financial Aid > Budgets > Budget Items > Create Budget Items.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Run batch budget steps under the Financial Aid > Budgets > Assign Budgets > Process Formula > Batch Budget Assignment menu group.
  2. In process monitor, note that all steps finishing in 'Success' status.
  3. For the process formulas (FAPBDGTF) step, click the 'Details' link for the instance, then click the link that says 'View Log/Trace', then click the .log file in the file list and search for the string 'No data in tablefield'.
