Last updated on JULY 05, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Under Candidate Management, the CAF attribute does not save when the following conditions are met:

1. The candidate has no topics to start with.
2. When a topic is created, the topic details, status, and CAF attribute are set before the transaction is saved.

When a CAF attribute is added and saved, it should immediately be saved to SSR_RS_TOPIC_CA.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Register 2 entities for SSR_RS_TOPIC_CA
2. Configure two Common Attributes
3. Define a Record Context on the record SSR_RS_TOPIC. Configure the context to use both of the newly created attributes.
4. Add the entity association “attribute Candidate Center” to the common attribute SUBMISSION_TYPE
5. Open Candidate Management and select a student.
6. If the student already has a topic, delete it and save.
7. Create a new topic and set the topic status
8. BEFORE saving, select “Additional Information”. Select one of the configured CAFattributes.
9. Save
10. Select from the record PS_SSR_RS_TOPIC. using a query
11. Review result
  a. Expected result: The CAF attribute should be listed with the candidate number and emplid
  b. Actual result: The CAF attribute is not listed in the record
12. Add a new row to the Topic Details scroll and save
13. Select from the record SSR_RS_TOPIC_CA again.
14. The query now returns a result.
