E-ES: External Data Source Definition Deploy Fails With Error "Invalid object end. The object "properties" is not in current scope" When Using Data Type "Float" (Doc ID 2960003.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to deploy an External data source definition with PeopleTools 8.60, the following error is shown on the screen:

Error:
Invalid object end. The object "properties" is not in current scope
(262,2100) PTEXTSDDEFN_PKG.PTEXTDeployment.OnExecute Name:Deploy PCPC:12435 Statement:187
Called from:PTEXTSDDEFN_PKG.PTEXTDeployment.OnExecute Name:executeStatement:9
Called from:PTEXTDEPLOY_WRK.PTEXTDEPIDXACTION.FieldChange Statement:7

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Navigate to PeopleTools -> Search Framework -> External Data Source Defns -> External Data Search Defns.
2. Create a new search definition.
3. Try deploying the External Data Source Defn from PeopleTools -> Search Framework -> External Data Source Defns -> Deploy External Search Defns page to replicate the issue.
