Symptoms

The <PS_CFG_HOME>/webserv/<DOMAIN-NAME>/servers/PIA/logs/PIA_stdout.log shows errors like these:

<BEA-2162500> <Class, org.apache.ws.security.validate.SamlAssertionValidator, was compiled with an incompatible version of Java. Ensure that all the classes needed by the application have been compiled with a compatible java version. java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: JVMCFRE199E bad major version 55.0 of class="org"/apache/ws/security/validate/SamlAssertionValidator, the maximum supported major version is 52.0; offset=6

Changes

 Upgrade to PeopleTools 8.60 or higher from an older PeopleTools release that uses JDK 8.
