The Fluid Position Management Process Is Not Providing Warning Messages nor CI Exceptions as Expected When There Is an Update to a Position Where the Incumbent Has a Future Dated Job Row. (Doc ID 2960602.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a Position change in Fluid Position Management is submitted that pre-dates the incumbent’s latest Job record EFFDT, the expected functionality is that the transaction is not sent for approval and a CI Exception is generated. With PUM Image 44, the transaction is sent through to approvals and no CI message is generated onscreen nor email notification sent.  The approver can finalize the request, but the incumbent is not updated.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Using Workforce Administrator Tile > Position Management Tile > Manage Position Tile, make a change that predates an Incumbent's Job Data effective date.
  2. Submit the change to see that the expected error: 'No changes made for incumbent number because position changes predate their current job record (1000,177)' is not provided.

Changes

Apply HCM 9.2 PUM Image 44
