E-PIA: On PT 8.60, CKEditor 5 Long Edit Box Toolbar does not Work Correctly on "Rich Text" Enabled Pages (Doc ID 2965486.1)

Symptoms

In PeopleTools 8.60, when configuring a Long Edit Box with the new CKEditor 5 Configuration, the toolbar does not change on any page that has a Long Edit Text box enabled for “Rich Text”.

The issue can be replicated by the following steps: 

  1. Log into Application Designer, and open a page containing a Long Edit box.
  2. Open a Long Edit box's properties, and select the Option tab.
  3. Turn on the “Enable Rich Text”.
  4. Choose a custom “Configuration Settings ID” to control the Toolbar options on the CKEditor 5.
  5. Clear the Application server cache and restart.
  6. Observe that the toolbar on CKEditor 5 did not change after adding the configuration as it should have per the documentation.

 So the issue/question is really, can CKEDITOR be configured to use this delivered automatic decorator to always add target="_blank" to all links so they open in a new window?
