E-PRCS: Processes Ends in "Success" Status When the Expected Status is "Warning"

Symptoms
Processes are customized to return "Warning" status. However, processes' status are returned as "Success" instead of "Warning".
The issue can be reproduced under the following setup:
1) Implement customization as described in the KM E-AE/PRCS: How to Program Application Engine to Return Warning Status to Process Scheduler (Doc ID 887302.1).
2) Run the Process.
3) Observe the Process ends in "Success", instead of the expected "Warning" status.
