College Financing Plan (CFP) Field Sizes for Interest Rates and Origination Fees on SFA_SHS_INTR_WH Table (Doc ID 2966765.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The interest rates published by the Department of Education (ED), on https://studentaid.gov/understand-aid/types/loans/interest-rates give the rates out to 3 decimal places. Certain pages and records in the system - such as the Financial Aid Loan Fee setup - also accommodate defining the rates up to 3 decimal places.

However, on the SACR - Product Related - Financial Aid - College Financing Plan Interest Rates and Work Hours tab, the fields in the Interest Rates and Origination Fees sections only allow entry of numbers out to 2 decimal places, as that is what is defined for the fields on the SFA_SHS_INTR_WH table.

Is it possible to update the interest rate fields on that record from 2.2 to 2.3, to be consistent with other tables like Loan Fees and so that students can be provided the most accurate information possible on the CFP?
