Symptoms
Closing a voucher with VAT is not retiring an asset as expected.
Replication Steps:
- Set Up Financials/Supply Chain Management > Business Unit Related > Asset Management > Asset Management Definition > AM Business Unit Definition - Interface Tab - Choose 'Voucher Close Transaction Type' as 'Retirement'.
- Create a voucher with inclusive VAT and post it (Accounts Payable > Vouchers > Add/Update > Regular Entry). The voucher total is 5780 including VAT. Make sure the asset information is populated on the voucher.
- Run the Load Assets Request Process (INTFAPAM) in AP (Navigation: Accounts Payable > Batch Processes > Extracts and Loads > Load Assets Request).
- Run the Retrieve Info from AP/PO (AMPS1000) in AM (Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Retrieve Info from AP/PO). The cost is 4919.15 GBP.
- Run Load into AM Process (AMIF000) in AM (Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Load into AM). The Asset is now integrated into AM from AP.
- Close the voucher and post it.
- Run the Load Assets Request Process (INTFAPAM) in AP (Navigation: Accounts Payable > Batch Processes > Extracts and Loads > Load Assets Request).
- Run the Retrieve Info from AP/PO (AMPS1000) in AM (Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Retrieve Info from AP/PO). Notice that the INTC_TYPE is 'PRT' and the COST is 5780 GBP. Seems like including VAT.
- Run Load into AM Process (AMIF000) in AM. (Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Load into AM).
- The Asset is not retired as expected. The RET row is added in the COST table with the amount of 5780 GBP which is greater than the cost of the asset earlier integrated to AM from AP.
