When 'Override NSC Data Elements' is Checked on the NSC Data Elements Page, the Program Length Field (SSR_NSC_PRG1_LNGTH) is Stored with a Decimal, and Reported that Way on the Consolidated Statistics/NSC Report Which NSC Will Reject (Doc ID 2967333.1)

Symptoms

On the NSC Data Elements Page, if the 'Override NSC Elements' box is checked, the field for the Program Length (SSR_NSC_PRG1_LNGTH) is stored with a decimal. Subsequently, when running the Consolidated Statistics/NSC Report, the field also gets written on the report with a decimal. 

The data on the NSC Report must not contain any decimals, as that will cause NSC to reject the data. 

Before applying some NSC fixes from PUM Image 28, the report was including the correct value even though the database had the field stored with decimals. After the fixes delivered in Image 28, the value is written to the file exactly as stored in the database; however, the issue does not occur if the 'Override NSC Elements' box is not checked.  

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Records and Enrollment > Enrollment Reporting > Consolidated Statistics > Student Consolidated Stats > NSC Data Elements for a student. 
  2. Check the 'Override NSC Data Elements' box and save. 
  3. Navigate to Records and Enrollment > Enrollment Reporting > Consolidated Statistics and run the report.
  4. Review the NSC Report output and note the student's values for Program Length include a decimal, e.g. 1500.0.

The issue occurs after applying one or more of the following NSC fixes first delivered in CS 9.2 PUM Image 28
