Upd32367241_01_esync.doc With Instructions to Run Entity Registry Sync SCC_ESYNCALL Is Included in Change Package But There Is no Step in Change Assistant To Run the Process (Doc ID 2967652.1)

Symptoms

When applying a Change Package that includes Bug fix 32367241 - first delivered in CS 9.2 PUM Image 23 - Change Assistant does not include a step in the template to run the Entity Registry Sync Application Engine process SCC_ESYNCALL.

The document upd32367241_01_esync.doc, included in the documentation folder of the change package, specifies that the process should be run and provides the instructions doing so. However, Change Assistant should include a step to run the process automatically, as it could be missed otherwise and cause subsequent problems with the Entity Registry.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. In Peoplesoft Update Manager (PUM), create change package including fix 32367241.
  2. Apply the change package using Change Assistant, and note there is no step to run SCC_ESYNCALL.
  3. Review the documentation folder in the change package to find upd32367241_01_esync.doc, specifying to run the process.

Changes

The issue occurs when applying any change package that includes the fix for <Bug 32367241>.
