Data Export FS_MAP_PR Process Save Empty (Null) Date Field with Previous Value (Doc ID 2971820.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 31, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Data Export and Import (FS_MAP_PR) application engine exported empty date field with previous value.

For instance, if PS_BU_ITEMS_INV record (that keeps quantities and attributes for items in a business unit) has 2 lines, where the second has field LAST_ORDER_DATE = [empty],

BUSINESS_UNIT    = US010    ---     US010
INV_ITEM_ID    =    10000        ---     10006
LAST_ORDER    =    DP00001092    ---     MSR0000013
LAST_ORDER_DATE    =21-May-16    ---     [empty]
QTY_AVAILABLE    =14974        ---     2006
QTY_RESERVED    =26        ---     370

then the date field, LAST_ORDER_DATE gets the previous value 21-May-16 instead of empty / null and data cannot be exported with the correct date value and use for Import Item Catalog File.

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:
-------------------
1. Create document from record - query BU_ITEMS_INV
Navigation PeopleTools > Documents > Document Utilities > Create Document from Record
2. Create delimited csv file
Navigation Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Data Export Import Utility > Delimited File Layout
3. Create document relationship
Navigation Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Data Export Import Utility > Document Relationship
4. Create map definition
Navigation Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Data Export Import Utility > Map Definition
Validate and Submit
5. Run data export and import - FS_MAP_PR application engine
Navigation Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Data Export Import Utility > Data Export Import Request
6. Check data
SELECT BUSINESS_UNIT, INV_ITEM_ID, LAST_ORDER, LAST_ORDER_DATE, QTY_AVAILABLE, QTY_RESERVED FROM PS_BU_ITEMS_INV WHERE BUSINESS_UNIT ='US010' and INV_ITEM_ID in ( '10000', '10006');
Note the 2nd line has field LAST_ORDER_DATE = [empty]
7. Check file
Note the 2nd test line has field LAST_ORDER_DATE gets the previous value instead of empty / null.
