Last updated on JANUARY 11, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Chartfields in Journal Approvals page can be displayed or hidden using Define CF Display Templates page. However, it appears that it has only a maximum of 9 CFs to display.

Issue can be replicated following the next steps :

  1. Click Approvals tile. Click Journal Entry to check a journal for approval. Notice that ‘Affiliate’ chartfield is not in the Lines section.
  2. Access Assign CF Display Templates, and note the Chartfield Display Template assigned (i.e. JRNL_APPR). (Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Design ChartFields > ChartField Display Templates > Assign CF Display Templates)
  3. Open CF Display Template JRNL_APPR. Note that Affiliate is set to ‘Hide Chartfield’. (Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Design ChartFields > ChartField Display Templates > Define CF Display Templates)
  4. Change CF Display Template for Affiliate from ‘Hide Chartfield’ to ‘Display Chartfield’. Then, Save.
  5. Click Approvals tile. Click Journal Entry to check a journal for approval. Notice that ‘Affiliate’ chartfield is now in the Lines section.
  6. Tried displaying about 11 chartfields.
  7. Only 9 from 11 CFs that have been set to display were actually displayed in Journal Approvals page.
