GP/AM: Absence Identify or Calculation Process (GPPDPRUN) Fails With Subscript Out of Range 153 Error in GPPLOCKC or GPPLOCKA Programs (Doc ID 2974413.1)

Symptoms

GPPDPRUN may fail with a subscript error.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Main Menu>Global Payroll and Absence Management>Absence and Payroll Processing>Calculate Absence and Payroll.
  2. Enter run control information and run.
  3. Process runs to "No Success" on Process Monitor.
  4. Review the log file.

The Identify phase of the process may fail with an error similar to the following:

Object Code error : file 'e:\psoft\hcm_app_home\CBLBINA\HCPLOCKC.gnt'
error code: 153, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
153     Subscript out of range (in U:\temp\compile46\HCPLOCKC.cbl, line 1365)

The Calculation phase of the process may fail with an error similar to the following:

Object Code error : file '/u01/app/pt/ps_cust_home/cblbin/GPPLOCKA.gnt'
error code: 153, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
153     Subscript out of range (in GPPLOCKA.cbl, line 1371)

In either event, if the issue is not resolved, the Absence process can't complete and employees will not be properly paid.

Changes

These errors occur after having applied Global Payroll and Absence Management maintenance from PUM 46.
