Symptoms
A change package containing the fix for Bug 35140232 - ADVISING NOTES: PATCH 34632208 REMOVED FUNCTIONALITY OF USING URL is applied to a target environment. A manual step is required to apply the fix outlined in supplemental documentation upd35140232_01_sup.doc. The document references two new templates, ADV_NOTES_NOTIFY_ADVISOR_PUM30 and ADV_NOTES_NOTIFY_ADVISEE_PUM30 to be incorporated into existing setup. When attempting to add the new templates to the setup, the two new templates are not available for selection.
The fix for Bug 35140232 - ADVISING NOTES: PATCH 34632208 REMOVED FUNCTIONALITY OF USING URL was originally delivered in Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM 30.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Using change assistant, apply the change package to the target environment;
- During the manual steps included as part of the change package application, follow the steps in upd35140232_01_sup.doc;
- Navigate to Menu > Setup SACR, System Administration, Utilities, Notifications, Notification Setup;
- Search for ADV_NOTES_NOTIFY_ADVISOR_EMAIL;
- Click on the Generic Template look up;
- Note the ADV_NOTES_NOTIFY_ADVISOR_PUM30 template is not found;
- Click Return to Search;
- Search for
- ADV_NOTES_NOTIFY_ADVISEE_EMAIL;
- Click on the Generic Template look up;
- Note the ADV_NOTES_NOTIFY_ADVISEE_PUM30 template is not found.
