E-MCF: Unable to Send Emails from Application Engine and Getting Error: 'Java class %s not found: com.peoplesoft.pt.mcf.mail.MCFOutboundEmail' After PT8.60 Upgrade (Doc ID 2981173.1)

Symptoms

Unable to send emails from any Application Engine processes after upgrading to PT8.60. Receiving the below messages when running AE Test Program:

Creating SendMailException
PSMCFSendMailException
PSMCFSendMailException: Java Exception: com.peoplesoft.pt.mcf.mail.MCFOutboundEmail
PSMCFSendMailException: Brief Message:Java class %s not found: com.peoplesoft.pt.mcf.mail.MCFOutboundEmail

 

Emails are sending successfully when using Windows process scheduler. Site confirmed all SMTP configuration is the same across all app servers and process schedulers.

Sample Eenvironment
---------------
PeopleTools: 8.60.07
OS : RH Ent Linux 7.0

Sample Replication:
--------------------

1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > Scheudle Process Requests.
2. Select Sample AE Program : AEMINITEST.
3. Choose Distribution Type Email and add email recipients.
4. Click OK and Run.
5. Check Process Monitor, the program runs to success but no emails are received.
