EPC 9.2: Third-Party Integration > Review Transaction Details Page Gives the Error, “The Status of ‘Final’ for Project XXX Prevents Additional Transactions” (Doc ID 2985167.1)

Last updated on APRIL 13, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Project Costing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

PC_INTFEDIT is rejecting the transactions coming through INTFC_PROJ_RES table even when the Accounting Date of those transactions is prior to the effective date of Project Activity Status 'Final'. Transactions from GL with accounting date prior to the effective date of Project Activity Status 'Final' are being allowed by the system to load into PROJ_RESOURCE with no issues. The system is performing inconsistently with transactions feeding from the GL subsystem and external interfaces.

Error:

---------

“The Status of ‘Final’ for Project XXX Prevents Additional Transactions”

Replication Steps:
-----------------------
1. Create a project with a start date of 01-01-2023 and end date of 31st May 2023. (Project Costing >Project Definition - Define project general info.)
2. Set Project status to final on 1st July 2023.
3. Enter a Journal with a date after the Project end date (05/31) and before eff date of Project Activity Status set to Final (07/01), for eg journal date as 06/30. (General Ledger > Journals - Journal entry)
4: Now go to Project Costing >> Cost Collection > General Ledger and run the PC_GL_TO_PC to load this journal in the project.
5: Notice that the transaction got cost collected with no issues with the date as 30th June.
6: Go to Project Costing> Third Party Integration> Review Transaction details page, and enter a new GLE row with 06/30/2023. The system is rejecting the ‘GLE’ transaction even when the Accounting Date ‘06/30/2023’ is prior to the effective date of Project Activity Status ‘Final’ which is ‘07/01/2023’.
