Symptoms

After clicking the 'INAS' button on the Maintain Application components, for any Profile record and regardless of whether any changes were made to any fields on the component, the following error displays on the page:

A SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details

The issue happens on both the Maintain Application 2024-2025 and Maintain Application 2023-2024 components.

In the system log referenced by the first error, the following additional error displays within the log messaging:

SQL error. Stmt #: 2013 Error Position: 90 Return: 12899 - ORA-12899: value too large for column "SYSADM"."PS_INST_STUDENT"."CHLD_AGES_CESA_CLC" (actual: 3,maximum: 2)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid -> Institutional Application Data -> Maintain Application 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 and select any student.
  2. Click the INAS button and note the error displayed on the page.
  3. Review the system log, as the message says, to see the further error details.

 

Changes

The issue occurs after applying PRP 35266241 - 2024-2025 Aid Year Setup for Institutional Methodology (IM), which first delivered the ability to calculate the IM EFC for Aid Year 2024-2025.
