Symptoms

Configurable Search Page is throwing below error when more then 254 characters are entered in the Business Unit field using IN operator.

During the execution of SQL, an error occurred in the Exec subroutine. The preceding message should have described the SQL being executed.


This issue can be replicated using below steps:

  1. Navigate to General Ledger -> Journals -> Journal Entry -> Create/Update Journal Entries.
  2. Enter the Business Units in the Business Unit field by selecting the "IN" operator. If the character limit is more than 254 characters it throws SQL error.

(For Example:BUY06,BUY05,BUY04,BUY03,BUY02,BUY01,BLGE1,BLG01,ADB01,AUS01,BUY07,BUY08,CAN01,CAN02,CHE01,CN001,CZ001,DEU01,DEUE1,EGNBU,EGUBU,EGV01,EGV02,EGV03,EGV04,EGV05,

EGV06,EGVL1,EGVLE,ELIM1,ELIM2,ELIM3,ELIM4,ELIM5,ELIM6,ELIM7,ELIM8,ELIM9,ELM10,ELM11,ELM12,ELM13 )
