HCM: Date Position Established Not Updated Whenever Effective Date Changes and Receive Error Message: “The Effective Date of this Position Change cannot be prior to the established date” (Doc ID 2987323.1)

Symptoms

When creating a new position number in Manage Position, the Date Position Established (US Federal section) not updated to new Effective Date whenever Effective Date changes.

The Date Position Established defaults to the current date. And when User selects the Submit button, receive error message.



ERROR MESSAGE:

“The Effective Date of this Position Change cannot be prior to the established date”



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log in as an Administrator
2. navigate to fluid Workforce Administration dashboard> Position Management tile > Manage Position tile
3. click "+" Add new icon
4. enter a new Effective Date and notice on Date Position Established (US Federal section) is the current date and not the new Effective Date.
5. After populating required fields, click Submit button, receives an error message.
