Goal
Related to the topic of FAFSA simplification, information has been provided stating that remote hours will not be counted toward enrollment intensity.
Currently the remote hours field on FA Term is used by many schools to indicate students active in the home institution but temporarily enrolled, for one or more terms, at a different institution - such as a consortium scenario.
Given that these units will not count toward enrollment intensity, institutions have voiced concerns about packaging these students in 2025 and beyond, as it will not always be practical to manually process the students depending on the volume involved.
If it is accurate that remote units will not be part of enrollment intensity, will there be options to manage the processing of remote units in these types of situations?
