2023-2024 Non-Custodial Parent Contribution Calculation is Causing the Wrong EFC Value After Applying PRP 35266241 -2024-2025 IM INAS Processing (Doc ID 2989884.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying CS 9.2 PUM30 + IM INAS Cloud PRP 35266241, the Non-Custodial Parent (NCP) calculation is calculating a Contribution From Income and Contribution From Assets, but when these two values are added together, the value used for the Contribution for the Student is not the sum of the Income and Assets Contribution.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Review a student with an NCP calculation prior to applying CS 9.2 PUM 30 + IM INAS Cloud PRP and note the total contribution specifically the Non-Custodial Parent Contribution
2. For the same student, navigate to the Non-Custodial Parent Data tab and click the INAS NCP calc button. Note the NCP Summary when the page returns to the Computation Summary tab.
3. Tab to the Custodial Parent Data tab click the INAS button, and review the details of the NCP Calculation Summary details and the Custodial Parent computation.
4. Note for the NCP Summary the contribution from income + the contribution from assets is not equal to the Contribution for Student amount
