E-CLOUD: Samba Drive Mapping On OCI Marketplace Image Failed With Error "make_connection_snum: canonicalize_connect_path failed" (Doc ID 2989959.1)

Symptoms

While trying to map the PI_HOME folder from linux to windows server, it failed with following errors in samba log file -

"make_connection_snum: canonicalize_connect_path failed for service pi_home, path /opt/oracle/psft/pt/fscm_pi_home".


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Deploy PUM
2. Configure the samba sharepath on linux server for PI_HOME folder
3. Access samba shared folder from Windows
4. Notice the error in samba logs
