ETL92 Employee Sign-Off On Timesheet - Documentation Bug (Doc ID 2994462.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 26, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Employee timesheet signature acknowledgement set up on Workgroup level. However, the message comes up on the Enter Time tile for the employee but does not trigger on the Report Time tile for the employee.
This conflicts with TL PeopleBooks which states:
Employee Signature Acknowledgement ID: Select the employee signature acknowledgement ID.
Note: If you do not want to set-up acknowledgement IDs and provided the installation check box is turned off, then you can provide the message catalogue and message set numbers and the acknowledgement message will appear on the fluid time sheet as in classic. This applies to Enter Time, Report Time and Weekly Time pages.

There is no issue when acknowledgement ids are setup under Acknowledgement Configuration and tl_installation table is set with 'Use Attestation for Time Reporting' selected.

Steps to Recreate:
1. Set TL_Installation table to have 'Use Attestation for Time Reporting' unselected.
2. Login and Employee and navigate via ESS > Time tile > Enter Time.
3. Enter hours and click Submit. Acknowledgement is triggered as expected.
4. Now from Time tile Employee clicks on Report Time button on the Report Time tile. Go to a day in next week period.
5. Enter hours for new day and click Submit. Note: Acknowledgement is not triggered as expected.
